How do I get to the Boathouse?
Please Note. Our restaurant is located inside of Central Park, which means all guests must arrive on foot, there is no parking at our property. The closest entrance and cross streets are 72nd Street and 5th Ave.
Visiting by Subway
N, R, & W trains stop at 5th Avenue & 59th Street. Walk North into the park.
1, 2, & 3 trains run north and south and stop along Broadway at 72nd Street. Walk East into the park.
A, B, C, & D trains run north and south along Central Park West and stop at 72nd Street. Walk East into the park.
Visiting by Bus
M10 – On the West side, this bus runs North and South along Central Park West.
M1, M2, M3 & M4- On the East side, these buses run south along 5th Avenue, and North along Madison Avenue.

There is no Wi-Fi available.
Is there parking available?
If you are visiting by car, we recommend parking on 910 5th Avenue Garage, they are open Weekdays 6:00am to 12:30am and Weekends 7:00am to 1:30am.
Is smoking permitted?
No, smoking is not permitted at any time at the Boathouse or in the park.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets are permitted in the restaurant. Exceptions to this policy are limited to service animals and service animals in training and police or other certified assistance animals are permitted by a qualified handler on official business.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Please note that the Central Park Boathouse is a cashless operation. Credit Card (AMEX, Visa, Master Card, Discover) and contactless payments are all accepted forms of payment. We also offer onsite reverse ATMs for cash conversions.
What type of food does the restaurant serve?
We pride ourselves in making dishes with a unique blend of American and Continental cuisine, we’ve got something for everyone!
How do I make a reservation?
For parties of up to 8 guests you can make your own reservation on Open Table. For parties of 9 or more please send an email with details (date, time, and number of guests) to info@centralparkboathouse.com.
How far in advance can I book a reservation?
You can book reservations up to 3 weeks in advance from your desired date.
Can I make a reservation at the café?
We do not take reservations for our café but, aside from our patio seating, we do offer Fireside Room seating at the Boathouse. Monday-Thursday 8:00am- 7:00pm and Friday-Sunday 8:00am- 12:00pm.
Can I make a reservation for dockside?
Dockside is first come, first serve, and only opened for the season.
Are boat rentals available for reservations?
Boat rentals are on a first come, first serve.
What is the cost of the boat rental?
Boat rentals are $25 per hour.
Is there a height requirement to go on the boats?
Yes! Guests must be at least 3 feet tall to ride.
What is the weight limit on the boat?
Boats have a 700lbs weight capacity.
Do you provide life jackets?
Absolutely, your safety is our priority. Life jackets are provided with every rental.
Are food and drinks permitted on the boats?
Food and drinks are not permitted on the boats.
Is the Central Park Boathouse ADA accessible?
Central Park Boathouse—including our café, restaurant, bathrooms, and private event space are ADA accessible to guests who use wheelchairs or need special services. Please contact access-a-ride here if you need further assistance.
